This annual event drives over 2.5 million in economic impact to the communities in Summit County and internally serves as one of the key support structures for our nonprofit. With the loss of this year's event due to the COVID-19 the longevity of the USASA is in potential jeopardy. Your contribution will help secure the future of the USASA during this difficult time due to the cancelation of the 2020 USASA National Championships.

2020 USASA National Championships was canceled but that doesn't mean we can't keep the spirit and fun of Nationals going while we're all social distancing. Which is why we're hosting the USASA 2020 Showcase -- a video contest that will be held during the two-week window we were all planning on throwing down at National Championships.
We're asking you, our USASA community to keep the stoke alive by sharing your season's best moments in a 60-second video edit. We wanna see the fun you had this season and the tricks and style you were bringing to Nationals. Have some fun and get creative and hashtag it #USASAshowcase2020 to be entered to win! *** Tag USASA, your local series, and your shred friends for bonus points.

Dear USASA Community,
We have been closely following the situation regarding COVID-19, as I am sure many of you have as well. With the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines discouraging travel and large public gatherings, and based on input from many in our snowboard and freeski community, I am writing to inform you that we have made the very difficult decision to cancel the 2020 USASA National Championships.
After careful consideration and deliberation, we believe the impact COVID-19 will have on this year’s participation and athlete representation would adversely affect the integrity of the event. Further, holding the event at this time could create unnecessary risk for USASA athletes, parents, coaches and staff.

New Hampshire Series freeskier, Max Abrams, is making waves in both freeskiing and mountain biking.
Thirteen-year-old Dover, Massachusetts native and USASA New Hampshire Series local, Max Abrams, has been making a name for himself in slopestyle -- both skiing and mountain biking. 2019 was a big year for the young ripper. Max qualified for the 30th annual USASA National Championships in his first year of Slopestyle competition AND won the “Best Whip” contest at the US Open CLIF Mountain Bike Slopestyle held at Highland Mountain Bike Park.
When we spoke to Max, we learned that he finds a lot of similarities in mountain biking and freeskiing; from the mental aspect of competing and reading different types of terrain to the DIY attitude the two communities sparked in him.
