The 2012 USASA Skier Nationals got off to a great start today with practice at all venues and opening ceremonies commencing in the late afternoon. Legend Don Bostick kicked the event off with the National Anthem while ski icon Steele Spence gave the crowd a warm welcome. All three courses held up well due to low temperatures overnight, and we expect this to be the case tomorrow as well, with plentiful sunshine during the day; don't forget to pack that sunscreen!
Slopestyle, SkierCross, and Halfpipe are sure to showcase some impressive talent tomorrow, with Halfpipe and Slopestyle being viewable from Copper's Center Village. Make sure to check out the action over the next 3 days! Good luck to everyone, and have fun!
