knee_braceWE MADE IT to 2012. I am not sure if I am excited or scared and I will tell you why. I have already had two ACL surgeries and a bone bruise all on the same knee. I just got tested in November in Utah at the Olympic Training Center to see if I can compete. I found out that my knee isn’t ready yet. I am not allowed to compete in halfpipe or boardercross. I am still happy I can free ride. I have been going to the gym as much as I can and also got on a strict diet to try and build muscle on that knee.

For my new years resolution I want to be able to compete to my full potential with my friends and family and have a fun time like it used to be. I think friends and family are very important to any sport you do. Friends can be very help full with keeping your spirits up and confidence.

One of my best friends told me today, “you're not going backwards so look at the positives”. “You can do it, I believe in you”. “Remember what you told me in middle school” ? “ The greater the challenge, the sweeter the victory”. To this day she still hasn’t forgotten that quote I told her.

It's a new year, keep your chin up and your head high and words and actions can make a difference. Here is to 2012!
