carloadHello everyone! Long time no talk. I’ve been quite busy these days. Since the Olympic year has started it has been a hectic one for everyone. I started off the season with some early season halfpipe training at Copper in the new 22ft pipe. This pipe was amazing and really allowed everyone to take their riding to new levels. I learned some new tricks and got my run dialed in time for the Copper Mtn. Grand Prix. I was very happy with my riding in the contest and landed both my runs in the qualifiers. Although I didn’t make finals only missing it by 3 spots, this allowed me to set goals for the next contest. Next up was the Breckenridge Dew Tour, which was right after the Grand Prix and the same week as my finals for school…..not so awesome. But once again the Dew Tour was awesome. Breckenridge opened the jumps for the slopestyle and they were amazing! I started off by practicing for slopestyle/halfpipe but hurt my ankle in the process and didn’t do so hot in the contest.

board_bagsNow I’m just riding, having fun, and training for the upcoming months of constant contests (haha). I’ll be on the road for probably all of January and a lot of February and March. Next up is Mammoth Grand Prix where I am right now. It’s super sick here! Sunny and warm. Pipe is sick, and the slopestyle course is super fun here.  Did the 1st pipe competition qualifiers today and didn’t do as well as I wanted to do. 1st run I landed but wasn’t to solid…kind of sketchy and 2nd run I fell. Still got another pipe competition and one slopestyle to go! Should be fun! Talk to you soon.
