(South Lake Tahoe, CA 5/30/12) USASA is proud to announce the 2012-2013 USASA Snowboard Team. Athletes were selected based on their results from the USASA National Championships at Copper Mountain, Colorado as well as their results throughout the season. They represent the best amateur riders in the country and will act as the ambassadors for the United States of America Snowboard Association for the upcoming season. USASA will support athletes with media and competitive opportunities to help get them to the next level. This is the 6th year that the USASA has assembled a team.
This year’s team includes 12 returning team members, including Olympian Faye Gulini and 3rd place US Open Half Pipe rider Benji Farrow. USASA Executive Director, Jason Toutolmin reports, “It’s great to have our returning athletes as well as some new talent supporting USASA and its mission, this will be an exciting year to watch these top amateur athletes.” USASA Team athletes will all convene in Copper Mountain early season 2012 to participate in a two-day camp, which focuses on media exposure and athlete marketing.
