Pacsun USASA Riders Get the Rockstar Treatment at X Games 12

For Immediate Release

eos15763.jpgPacsun USASA Team riders came from across the country to compete and support their teammates as well as getting in on a little of the X Games action. One thing they didn’t anticipate was how nonstop their week would be.

After a week of competitions, Trevor Jacob and Ross Baker made the short drive to Aspen to experience X first hand. They knew they had a couple commitments once they arrived.

The first commitment was a first class snowcat tour on the backside of Aspen Mountain. The boys met a rag-tag crew consisting of industry insiders, a coach, USASA Executive Director Jason Toutolmin and photographer Brian Bailey early Thursday morning. Trevor, Ross, and local Madison Bailey rallied early and built a jump off a rock with a super deep, although flat landing.  After hiking the jump for a while it was time for a 5 star backcountry lunch in a warm little cabin. Stuffed and hydrated the boys wanted a piece of a double pillow line they had been scoping all morning. Once there, Ross built a pretty booty jump about ten feet behind the top rock. The guide with them was probably questioning what he had gotten himself into. All 3 boys were sending this thing!  As the daylight faded the photo bags were packed up and the motley crew was sent back to the frontside to end their day.

Friday, Ross and Trevor met up with other Pacsun USASA team riders Kim Krahulec, Lizzy Beerman, Jordan Karlinski, Kaitlyn Farrington, and Spencer Cordovano to sign autographs at the USASA booth. X Games saw 72,500 visitors over the week, so the scene was almost mayhem. The team must have signed 2000 autographs over the next 3 days. At one point Trevor crawled over the table and was getting his picture taken with 9 teenage girls.

After three days of chaos, there was one more special treat. As a wicked winter storm rolled into Aspen, the crew took their position in the VIP only Pacsun Lounge for Men’s Superpipe Finals. Ross and the Pacsun team rubbed elbows with likes of Lil Jon and Men’s Slopestyle gold medalist Andreas Wiig. After the crew watched Shaun White get another X Gold in a full on winter storm, everyone realized their whirlwind weekend was over. Hugs and high-fives were exchanged then the crew disappeared into the snowy night to prepare for the next adventure.
