PacSun USASA Team at the Red Bull Snowscrapers!

USASA at SnowscrapersThe CMS crew rocked NYC this past weekend for the first ever Red Bull Snowscrapers competition in East River Park. This Five Star TTR Event set against the backdrop of NYC’s amazing skyline drew 16 of the top riders from around the world with likes of Travis Rice, Torstein Horgmo and Terje Haakonsen. Up for grabs was a $100,000 cash prize, the largest purse ever for a new event of this size.


Kim Krahulec finishes 3rd at the Grand Prix

Kim Krahulec Boreal Grand Prix PodiumPacSun USASA Snowboard Team alumni Kim Krahulec kicked off her 2009 competition season with a 3rd place finish at the US Snowboarding Grand Prix in Boreal CA.  She sat out most of January with a muscle strain, pulling out of the Rev Tour, Copper NorAM's and most notably Winter X.  This is the 2nd year in a row that she has made the podium at the Grand Prix Boardercross.


PacSun USASA Team increases Medal Count to 8

USASA PacSun Team members Faye Gulini, Chloe Banning and Mick Dierdorff increased the team’s medal count to 8 on Saturday in the SBX on the final day of the USSA Revolution Tour event in Copper Colorado.  The competition was intense with over 40 women and 100 men representing several countries vying for a spot in the finals.    The Copper race crew worked tirelessly to build a course that would challenge a wide range of technical skills for the riders. A total of 6 PacSun team members were entered into the day’s event.  Gulini, Banning and Dierdorff were joined by Chris Mahaney,  Mack Joyce and Jackie Hernandez on the start list.



5 medals in 2 days for Pacsun USASA Team at Copper Revolution Tour

molly.jpgPacSun USASA riders had a strong showing at this weeks Revolution Tour hosted by Copper Mtn resort in Colorado. An international field competed for spots to Junior World Championships and bragging rights as the best amateur snowboarders in the USA.  Field sizes were as big as any event could handle and PacSun USASA riders held many spots into the finals and walked away with 5 medals in Halfpipe and Slopestyle.


USASA Snowboarder recognized for making a difference

Katie Wilson This is one of the things that makes being a part of USASA worth all the hard work. Katie is an inspiration to us all and I hope her story motivates others to make a difference in other peoples lives.

"Katie B. Wilson, at the age of 11, is already an accomplished snowboarder seeking a podium spot at the USA Snowboard Association National Championships at Copper Colorado, but it is for her actions off the hill that she is being recognized as the 2009 Spirit of the Games Award winner."
