OLYMPIANS RETURN TO USASA NATIONALS

Every US Olympic Snowboard Team member since 2006 started their competitive careers at USASA and this year, 10 snowboarding Olympians, including gold medalist Chloe Kim, big air silver medalist Kyle Mack and bronze medalists Arielle Gold and Alex Deibold took the opportunity to return to USASA Nationals to share their journeys from regional USASA series riders to Olympic athletes. Jake Pates, Mike Trapp, Mick Deirdorff and Paralympic gold medalists Evan Strong and Mike Minor also joined the panel and shared their experiences of success and struggle to packed room of excited 2018 USASA National Championship competitors.

Arielle Gold summed it up best, “Coming back to USASA nationals is reminder of my roots, Nationals is how I got started and the reason I got to bring this medal back home. These kids need to know that no dream is too big”.
