RECAP... USASA Snowboard Nationals & USASA Ski Nationals at Copper Mountain, Colorado... Over 1,700 competitors... Maine Mountain Series athletes competed in 180 events... Way To Go Maine!

Saturday 3/31: Snowboard Training Day.  Opening Ceremonies and Parade of Athletes at 5pm.  Big shout out to James Abbott who was injured in BX today.

Sunday 4/1: TOP TEN FINISHES - Sean Keough, 2nd HP - Garrett Hopkins, 4th SL - Mersadies D'Agostino, 6th HP - Cole Schreiber, 7th BX - Cat Wolf, 8th SS - Jonathan Scheidegger, 8th SL - Matt Braley, 10th SL.  OF NOTE: Garrett Hopkins had the fastest SL times of the entire day in qualifing for finals.  Cole Schreiber with a 7th place finish in BX against a pro level field.  Congratulations to all for an awesome first day of competition!

Monday 4/2: TOP TEN FINISHES - Tracie Tooker, 1st SS - Sean Keough, 3rd SS - Adrienne Berard, 5th BX - Emma Downing, 7th BX - Shannon Maguire, 7th BX - Jonathan Scheidegger, 7th GS - Emily Eames, 7th SL - Mersadies D'Agostino, 10th SS - Emma Scheidegger, 10th BX.  OF NOTE: National Champion Tracie Tooker!  Injured Adrienne Berard with a 5th in Boardercross.  Emily Eames with a 7th in a pro class field in SL.  Go Maine!

Awesome news: CVA graduate Alex Tuttle earns first World Cup Podium, taking 2nd in Snowboarcross in Italy!!!

Congratulations to Maine Mountain Series athletes Katie Keough (U Maine Farmington) and Ryan Espiritu (Bates College) on winning the US Collegiate Giant Slalom Championship, and to Ian Daly (Sierra Nevada College) with a Bronze Medal in the Overall.    

Congratulations to JUSTIN MATTHEWS on winning the High Cascade Snowboard Camp session!

USASA Nationals Qualifiers @ LOST VALLEY on 2/11/12 & 2/25/12 - 6 PM - Snowboard & Freeski winners: 13 And Under, 14 And Over and Open Class will get a spot in the USASA Rail Jam Invitational at the USASA Snowboard and Ski Nationals.

Competitor Information

• All competitors in Maine Mountain Series events must be current USASA members.
• Medals awarded to top three finishers in all divisions.
• CERTIFIED Helmets are required for all events.
• NO GoPro or other cameras allowed on competitors during racing  
  
• Off Axis tricks allowed in freestyle events. 
• Maine Mountain Series events are Day-of-Event Registration only.
• All competitors should bring proof of current USASA registration to each event.

How Do I Qualify For Nationals?

 A) Win the Maine Mountain Series Regional Series Title in your division, or B) get invited through the National Ranking System.  The first place finisher in each age/gender group in the Maine Mountain Series, based on the highest point total from up to 3 of the 4 Maine Mountain Series events, will receive an automatic invitation to the USASA National Championships.  NOTE: Ties for Regional Champions will need to be broken for purposes of awarding the automatic Regional Champion Nationals spot... First Tiebreaker: Highest score from most recent event. Second Tie Breaker: Top two Regional Scores. Third Tie Breaker: Top single event Score.  All other invitations will be awarded through the National Ranking System.  Please review the information contained in the Nationals section of the USASA website for additional information on the National Ranking System.
